Biography: Mylène Choquette
Mylène Choquette graduated from La Cité collégiale (a French-language college of applied arts and technology in Ottawa) in 1996 with a specialization in Photography. Since then, she has held positions in both government and private sectors as an Artifact Photographer, an Image Editor, and an Imaging Technician. Mylène has administered image databases and, while working as a Digitization Officer for the Canadian Museum of Civilization (CMC) in Gatineau, QC, co-wrote a 2006 publication on artifact photography guidelines. This publication has since become the photography standard for the CMC Corporation, and is available to other cultural institutions through the Canadian Heritage Information Network. Mylène joined CCI in 2008, and currently provides scientific photographic documentation services for ongoing conservation and research projects. Mylène co-authored the CCI publication Lighting Methods for Photographing Museum Objects (with Carl Bigras and Jeremy Powell).
